The Tyrrhenian is more than a backdrop: it actively shapes the vines with its marine breezes. Rugged coasts, resin-scented Mediterranean scrub and deep pine green form a primordial, still-wild landscape.
Its proximity softens the climate, adds freshness and minerality to the wines, and brings balance.
The soils within the protected Bandite di Scarlino tell their geological story: sands, clays, silts, rock and iron.
A heterogeneous texture lets roots reach deep and produce concentrated, structured grapes. Here Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot ripen, nourished by rich, generous soil.
The Mediterranean climate completes this balance. Hot dry summers, breeze-cooled nights and mild rainy winters each contribute to a slow, ideal ripening that imprints sun and wind on every cluster.
The winds are discreet, constant allies: they dry, purify and guide growth.
Among them, the mistral moves through the vines and marks the rhythm of the seasons.
Biodiversity is the final voice in this natural symphony. Holm oaks, strawberry trees, cork oaks and wildlife fill the woods and field margins. Night raptors of the place — quiet guardians of these Tuscan evenings.
